Final exam guidelines
Material to be examined: From the textbook (R&G, edition
3):
- Chapters 1-5
- Chapters 8-20
- Chapter 22.1, 22.2, 22.3, 22.6, 22.7, 22.8, 22.11, 22.13 and 22.14 (Distributed Databases)
- Chapter 25.1-3 (Data Warehousing)
- Chapter 26.1, 26.2.1, 26.3.1-2, 26.4.1 (Data Mining, Decision Trees, Association Rules)
- and all the material on the lecture foils
IMPORTANT additional information:
- No aids allowed (no books, no notes, no laptops) - only
- a calculator (strongly recommended) and
- 2
letter-size pages (you may use all 4 sides)
- The exam will be comprehensive,
with more emphasis on the material after the midterm.
Reminders
- The exam questions will be very similar
to the exercises in the textbook,
to the midterm questions and
to the homework exercises.

to the odd-numbered exercises of the textbook.
